  • Tips To Protect Against Phishing Schemes

Internet threats take many forms. Recently we have seen an increase in phishing schemes; e-mails asking you to confirm personal information about your GSC account.

GSC will never contact you to confirm confidential information. Your username and password are behind multiple layers of security in our data center; we have no need to ask for this information.

Phishing is a tactic spammers use to trick recipients into divulging confidential information. The email appears to be from a trusted source, but asks for a password, bank account information, or other types of confidential information. If you ever doubt a message is authentic verify the company's phone number and contact them directly. NEVER reply to the email, click on links, or open any attachments.

Here are some tips to protect yourself from phishing:
  1. Don't share your personal information, such as passwords, for "verification" purposes online or by phone.
  2. Keep your anti-virus software up-to-date, and install a firewall.
  3. Don't click on pop-ups. That's inviting trouble.
GSC is always looking out for the security of our customers. We want to make sure your account stays safe. If you have any questions or concerns, you can contact Customer Care at 603-529-9911 or send us an e-mail.
