Account-A-Call

Need help keeping track of long distance calling at home? At your business? Whether you have kids, roommates, or employees sharing your phone line, Account-A-Call allows you to assign 'authorization codes' to any individual you choose. Long distance calls will be separated by account code on your bill. You can even set limits on the number of calling minutes each individual is permitted. This feature is great for keeping unauthorized long distance calls from being made.  You'll also have the ability to manage your account online - the minutes of toll use per account code are available in real time.

Rate: $7.95 per month

 

Block the Blocker

Block out telemarketers and other callers who have blocked their numbers before calling you. These are calls that appear as 'Anonymous', 'Private', or 'Blocked' on your Caller ID. Your phone won't even ring when a call comes in from a blocked number. The caller will hear a message to inform them private calls aren't being accepted and instructions on how to unblock their number.

Call Forwarding

Want to bring your calls with you? With Call Forwarding, you can. Just a few touches of your phone will route all of your calls to another number.

  • Great for business people who want to catch after-hours calls at home.
  • Allows you to direct all incoming calls to another number without interfering with your ability to make outgoing calls.
  • Forward calls for any length of time, even while you are on vacation. Important callers won't have to wait for your return.

Rate: $2.25 per month

Check out our new Single Number Service. This service enables you to forward calls to multiple numbers - a call to your office could also ring your home and cell phone at the same time!

 

Call Return

  • The next time the phone rings while you're walking out the door, don't make a mad dash. Let Call Return retrieve any call you didn't catch in time.
  • Just dial *69 and your phone will redial the last number that called you. If the line is busy, your phone will keep trying for up to 30 minutes, and ring you when it's free.

Rates: $.50 per activation (max monthly charge of $4.50) or
$3.25 per month (unlimited usage)

 

Call Trace

  • Don't let obscene callers harass you! Call Trace will record the telephone number of the bothersome caller and forward it to Granite State Communications. If you decide to follow-up, the police will use the traced number to locate the caller, and do their best to put an end to the harassment.
  • You won't have to tolerate suspicious calls from strangers anymore!

Rate: $3.00 per successful trace

 

Call Waiting

  • Don't miss another important call! Call Waiting alerts you of an incoming call when you are on the phone. A quick depression of the flash button or hang-up button allows you to put the first call on hold to answer the second.
  • Call Waiting can be deactivated as needed on a per call basis.

Call Waiting ID & Call Waiting ID with Name

Call Waiting ID gives you the number of an incoming call when you are on the phone. Call Waiting ID with Name gives you the name and number of the caller. You decide if you want to continue with your current conversation or pick up the incoming call.

  • See who's calling when you're on the phone.
  • Avoid unwanted interruptions.
  • Never miss an important call.

Caller ID/Caller Name

It's easy to see who's calling with Caller ID and Caller Name. You'll be able to decide for yourself which calls to answer, and which to follow up on later. This service even tells you who called while you were away. Includes free Block the Blocker service.

  • Caller ID displays the phone number, date, and time of the calls you receive.
  • Caller Name gives you the same information plus the name of the caller.

Line Blocking

Prevent your name and number from displaying on Caller ID display units for each outgoing call. If the person you are calling has a Caller ID display unit, they will see 'Anonymous', 'Private', or 'Blocked' displayed.

Line Protection & Line Protection Plus

If your telephone line gives you trouble, Line Protection has you covered. With Line Protection and Line Protection Plus, you can have the security of knowing that your lines are insured against damage. Simply call us and we will send a trained repair technician to your home or office (key systems not included), free of charge, to diagnose the trouble.* We will repair or replace faulty wires and jacks at no cost to you.** If you need extensive repair, we will give you a free estimate and offer helpful advice.

Line Protection Plus includes all of the above services, plus we’ll provide you with a loaner phone for up to sixty days if your telephone needs to be repaired or replaced by the manufacturer.

Multi-Ring Service

You can have a special ring just for your calls! With Multi-Ring Service you can have two telephone numbers assigned to one line, each with its own distinctive ring. You could assign one number solely to your children or to a home business, and one to the family. If you have call waiting, you will get a distinctive call waiting tone.

Rates: $3.25 per month

 

Per-Call Blocking

Prevent your name and number from displaying on Caller ID display units for outgoing calls on a per-call basis. If the person you are calling has a Caller ID display unit, they will see “Anonymous”, “Private”, or “Blocked” displayed.

Priority Ringing

  • Want your phone to signal you if an important caller tries to get through - even if you're already on the line? Activate Priority Ringing, and it will.
  • Dial a special code followed by the specific caller's number, and when the call comes through, you will hear a distinctive ring. If you are already on the line, and you have Call Waiting, you will hear a distinctive tone. Priority Ringing works with up to 31 different numbers.

Reminder Call

Looking for an easy way to notify garden club members of an upcoming meeting…OR remind customers of an upcoming sale? How about a quick way to let your baseball team know practice is cancelled? This personalized reminder service allows you to record customized messages for customers, clients, fellow club members, you name it. With Reminder Call you can do it all! Schedule one-time reminders, recurring monthly reminders, or just the days you choose. You can even use it as a wake-up service for yourself!

Rate: $2.25 per month

 

Repeat Dialing

  • Hate having to dial again and again when the person you're calling is on the phone? With Repeat Dialing, your phone can automatically check the busy line for up to 30 minutes, leaving you free to do whatever you want.
  • As soon as the number is available, your phone will ring back to signal you. When you pick up the receiver, the call will automatically be placed for you. It's a great idea for any busy home or office.

Selective Call Acceptance

  • Now you can protect your quiet time, yet still be reached by that special person. Simply instruct your phone to ring only for the callers you've specified. All others get a message suggesting they call back later and your phone stays quiet.
  • Selective Call Acceptance gives YOU total control over the calls you receive whether during the evening, a baby's nap, or whenever you choose.

Selective Call Forwarding

This calling feature allows you to route specific calls to another telephone number. You can tell your phone which calls to forward --- and which calls not to. Important calls will ring through to the line you specify, but you won't be bothered by all the rest!

Selective Call Rejection

  • "If so-and-so calls back, I'm not here. Don't even answer the call." Ever wish you could tell this to your phone? It's possible with Selective Call Rejection. Dial a special code, and your phone will block calls from specific numbers.
  • Everyone else will still get through, but the callers you've specified will hear a recorded message that you're not accepting calls. It's so simple, and you'll never have to worry about receiving unwanted calls again.

Single Number Service

Tired of missing calls? Wish your home and office calls could go where you go? They can. With Single Number Service, callers can reach you wherever you are by dialing just one number.

Speed Calling

Want to dial quickly? Speed Calling takes the hassle out of dialing frequently called numbers. Up to eight numbers can be programmed into your phone. It's perfect for calling doctors, dentists, work, friends, relatives, etc.

Three-Way Calling

Have you ever wanted to hold a three-person call? You can, if you order Three-Way Calling for your phone. This feature can be used for a three-way conference conversation, or as a second line for speaking privately to either party without hanging up on the other.

  • Great for those with relatives in other states. Catch up with your sister and brother at the same time!
  • Use it to make plans with friends. With everyone running on a different schedule, Three-Way Calling can make organization much easier.

Voice Mail

Voice Mail from GSC answers your calls whether you're on the phone, online, or even if the power goes out — it’s way better than an answering machine!

Our Voice Mail to Email service allows you to check your messages online at anytime! Check out these special features:

  • Retrieve and play messages from your email.
  • Receive email, cell phone or pager alerts as new messages arrive. You'll never have to 'remember' to check messages again.
  • Play important messages first – the caller's phone number appears right in the subject line of your email! You choose which ones to play, save, forward — you name it!
  • Plus, like traditional voice mail, you'll still be able to check messages by phone any time you want.

With Warm Line, just 30 seconds after the telephone is taken off the hook, it automatically dials a pre-designated number such as your office, a neighbor, a relative, or anyone else you choose (note: this feature will not dial 911).
