We offer lightning-fast internet speeds, but if your Wi-Fi router is out of date or not set up correctly, it could be slowing you down. Here are some tips to help you maximize router performance:
- Move your router to its ideal position. It should be centrally located in your home and away from thick walls made of brick or concrete.
- Make sure your router is secure. Use a password on your router to keep other people from using your network and slowing it down.
- Upgrade your router. If your router is several years old — and your internet speed has increased significantly since you got it — there may be an issue with its capacity being exceeded. Consider replacing it with a new, more advanced router.
There are many benefits to renting a router rom GSC. In the event of any connection issues, we are able to provide the highest level of technical support. All GSC rental routers come with repair/replacement protection for any router found to be defective, including free on-site visits by a technician in the event of an Internet connection trouble that can’t be fixed via telephone support. PLUS we will provide a new router if a newer version is available, so you will always have the most up-to-date technology. You also receive our Tech Home Internet security software at no additional cost.
