Getting junk calls from numbers that look local? This scam technique is called “spoofing.” It’s a tricky way scammers get you to pick up the phone thinking the call is legitimate based when really it isn’t. Scammers send false information to your caller ID to make it seem like a local call you may want to answer. So what can you do about it?
