In the wake of last night’s storm and today’s windy weather, our crews continue to work hard responding all reports of downed lines. Rest assured our top priority is to restore any customers out of service as soon as possible.

Please keep in mind we may not know if an if an individual connection is down. In these circumstances, if you can find a way to notify us, we will take it from there. As always, we caution you to stay away from any and all downed lines.

For customers experiencing power outages as well, please be aware that there is a priority order to restoration in these circumstances. Power must be restored first, so we are working alongside Eversource crews to determine where people have lost service and how best to restore that service.

We also post widespread outage information on our Facebook page and website, so you can check there for updates.

After a major storm, GSC technicians canvas our service territory to assess damage and prepare restoration projections. We work hard to have our equipment ready and on standby, have replacement parts available, and have a plan. We have generators to maintain operations if the power goes out. Additionally, our buildings and equipment are alarmed and monitored 24 hours a day. If a major problem arises, crews are notified immediately.

No matter what Mother Nature brings our way, take peace of mind in knowing that our primary goal is to restore service to our customers as quickly and efficiently as possible.
