Since 1877, Granite State Communications has been dedicated to seeking new opportunities to provide high quality communications services to our customers. We pay tribute to the Yankee spirit that says you don't have to be part of a telephone conglomerate to offer state-of-the-art technology.

Granite State Communications is one of more than 1,300 independent telephone companies operating in the United States today. These companies were never a part of the former Bell system and provide the most modern technology to the residents and businesses of rural America.

Granite State Communications traces its beginnings to Chester, New Hampshire (circa 1877), when the New Hampshire legislature granted a charter to what was then known as the Chester and Derry Telegraph Company.

Granite State Communications as we know it today is a merger of what were once four separate telephone companies: Chester Telephone Company, Sandown Telephone Company, Weare Telephone Company, and Triangle Telephone Company.
