Congratulations to Stephanie Goulet of Weare, NH, and Conor West Geary of Sandown, NH, who were each awarded $1,000 GSC Scholarships for the 2015–2016 academic year. This marks the 22nd year we’ve awarded scholarships to deserving students in our service area. Since the program was founded, over $41,000 in scholarships has been awarded to New Hampshire students.

Ms. Goulet is majoring in both Psychology and Sustainable Enterprise with a minor in Social Work at New England College. In addition to two spectacular class trips this year to both Kenya and Belize, she’s also editor-in-chief of NEC’s art and literary journal, The Henniker Review. Mr. West Geary is in the Engineering program at the UMass Lowell. A recent graduate of Timberlane High School, Mr. West Geary was involved in an array of school programs: the Timberlane Players, the Golf Team, Kappa Rho, the National Honor Society, and the Math Honor Society. At UMass he is continuing this tradition and is already a member of the UMass Lowell Quidditch Team.

Scholarships are based on academic merit and financial need. To be eligible, candidates must be a customer of Granite State Communications. We serve the following towns: Chester, Dunbarton, East Deering, Hillsboro Upper Village, Sandown, Washington, Weare or Windsor.
