After a major storm, GSC technicians canvas our service territory to assess damage and prepare restoration projections. We work hard to have our equipment ready and on standby, have replacement parts available, and have a plan.
We have generators to maintain operations if the power goes out. Additionally, our buildings and equipment are alarmed and monitored 24 hours a day. If a major problem arises, crews are notified immediately.
We will post widespread outage information in the Network Status section of our website and social media accounts (see links below). If you are subscribed to our GoCare Mobile Alerts, you can be notified of via text message of any outage information for your area as well.
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND that we may not way know if an individual connection is down. In these circumstances, we rely on you to notify us of service interruption, whether this is by cell phone, email or a nearby neighbor’s phone. If you can find a way to notify us, we will take it from there. We now offer the ability to Report An Outage in our Support section.
